“UDAAN-an inspiring journey to India” is a successful musical, created in Germany by an Indian dancer and choreographer, Pavan Prasad. It had its premiere in Gasteig, Munich in September 2016, with standing ovations. Since then, numerous appearances of the crew have followed in different European countries.

UDAAN is the story of a young German/Indian man that leaves his German home town to go on an adventurous trip to India in search of wisdom and wealth, only to return as a different man to win the heart of the woman he truly loves.

The story is embedded in different styles of Indian folklore and Bollywood dances, also featuring modern dance, breakdance and more, and, for the show in Munich, Bavarian Schuhplattler. Depending on the location, UDAAN will be adapted for one dance that meets the local “traditional” dance taste, to give it a local touch that audiences will connect to.

All music and choreography is original content of UDAAN, and can be adapted from big stages, featuring 80 dancers, to smaller stages for 40 performers, to meet your stages capacity.
